Cun Shusheng (1986-1978), also known as Yu Zhou, was born in October 1896 in Heshun Township, Tengchong, Yunnan province, an intellectual family deeply influenced by the bourgeois democratic revolutionary thought. When he was young, he studied at a private school and later at Heshun Primary School. In 1911 he was admitted to Dali Middle School. After graduation, he returned to his hometown as a teacher at Heshun Primary School. In the winter of 1918, he received official support to study in Japan. In the winter of 1939, Mr. cunshusheng began to devote himself to the education of the frontier with the patriotism and concern for the people of "the frontier is also China's territory, the frontier people are also a part of our countrymen, and the ignorance and cultural backwardness of the frontier people should be the shame and responsibility of the intellectual class". Mr. cunshusheng has successfully practiced the school running thought of "combining education with productive labor", and won a high reputation in the educational circles and overseas Chinese in Yunnan Province. In October 1950, Mr. Cun Shusheng was transferred to the Department of economics of Yunnan University by the Ministry of higher education of Southwest China as a professor, mainly engaged in the teaching of agricultural economics, philosophy, political economics and other courses, and prepared handouts such as agricultural economics and economic policy. Mr. cunshusheng not only teaches seriously, but also cares about the growth of students. In June 1961, Mr. cunshusheng and his classmates discussed the dialectical relationship between "red" and "specialized", theory and practice, and between teachers and students at the all student conference of the school. He suggested that students should have a correct learning attitude and political attitude. It is wrong to only "specialize" but not "red" or only "red" but not "specialize"; In learning, we should not only learn book knowledge (i.e. theory), but also strengthen practice. It is wrong to read without practice or practice without reading; Teachers and students are a contradictory unity of teaching and learning. Teachers should love and care for students, impart knowledge to them, and make students' knowledge grow continuously; Students should respect teachers, study hard, have the courage to argue with teachers on some issues, and constantly promote the improvement of teachers' level. This reflects Mr. cunshusheng's idea that education should not only cultivate talents, but also cultivate people.

Faced with the failure of young teachers' scientific research experiments, Mr. cunshusheng did not criticize or criticize, but believed that "since it is a scientific experiment, failure should be allowed. Failure is also a result. He can tell people that this road is impassable and this assumption is wrong, and teach people not to take this road again. This is also beneficial". His tolerant and understanding attitude greatly inspired young teachers' scientific research momentum, activated the academic atmosphere of the school, and led a large number of teachers to actively devote themselves to scientific research practice.
