This year's National Day holiday is the first National Day holiday celebrated by Heshun Ancient Town Scenic Area in Tengchong City, Baoshan City, after successfully upgrading to a national 5A level tourist attraction on February 6, 2024. Compared with the past, Heshun Ancient Town during the National Day this year has some more elements of China-Chic in the warm and festive atmosphere, and the national style and ancient charm, which originated from a theme activity of "Heshun Opera · China-Chic Carnival".

During the National Day, Heshun Ancient Town Scenic Area and Shanghai Theater Academy jointly launched a series of national day theme activities of "Heshun Opera · China-Chic Carnival". Students from the Opera Academy of Shanghai Theatre Academy presented traditional Chinese and intangible cultural heritage arts such as Peking Opera, Kunqu Opera, folk music, and puppetry on the ancient stage in Heshun Alley.

The loyal and brave legend of "Mu Guiying Takes Command and Holds the Seal", the extraordinary and otherworldly nature of "Tian Nv Scatters Flowers and Clouds Road", the adventures on the pilgrimage route of "The Golden Leopard", the loneliness and tragedy of "Night Run", and the gentle emotions of "Dreaming in the Garden" immerse the audience face-to-face in the dreamlike atmosphere that transcends time and space, and feel the charm of Chinese culture.

The perfect combination of traditional instruments and modern interpretation allows everyone to appreciate the fantasy of "Cloud Palace Thunder Sound", the passion of "Qin King Breaking the Formation Music", and the tragedy of "Ambush from Ten Sides"... The harmony of October in the golden autumn, with ancient melodies lingering and elegant sounds.

The puppet shows "Little Shami Goes Down the Mountain", "Monkey Fun", "Youth Dream", as well as the stick puppet shows "Long Silk Dance" and "Peony Pavilion · Startling Dream" allow everyone to relive the innocence and joy of childhood, and appreciate the unique charm of intangible cultural heritage puppet art.

This grand feast of traditional Chinese opera culture is another innovative exploration by Heshun Ancient Town Scenic Area in deepening the integration of culture and tourism.
